Viviana Triscari è assegnista di ricerca presso l’Università degli Studi di Catania all’interno del progetto PNRR Living Cabiria e attualmente si occupa delle relazioni tra il cinema muto italiano e le altre arti. I suoi interessi di studio sono da sempre rivolti al rapporto tra scrittura e visualità indagato attraverso gli strumenti della Visual Culture, della teoria letteraria e della teoria dell’arte, con particolare attenzione al periodo che va dalla fin de siècle ai primi decenni del Novecento e con alcune escursioni nell’iper-contemporaneità. Tra i suoi temi: il rapporto fra generi e letterari e generi pittorici e la rappresentazione della figura dell’artista. É autrice di una monografia dal titolo Artista. Per una morfologia dell’autorappresentazione (Duetredue, 2024).  Fa parte del comitato di redazione della rivista «Arabeschi».

Viviana Triscari is a Research Fellow at the University of Catania as part of the PNRR project Living Cabiria and is currently investigating the relationship between Italian silent cinema and the other arts. Her research interests have always centred on the relationship between writing and visuality, explored through the tools of Visual Culture, literary theory and art theory, with a particular focus on the period from the fin de siècle to the early decades of the 20th century, and with some forays into the hyper-contemporary. Her themes include the relationship between literary and pictorial genres and the representation of the figure of the artist. She is the author of a monograph entitled Artista. Per una morfologia dell’autorappresentazione (Duetredue, 2024). She is a member of the editorial board of the journal ‘Arabeschi’.
